Lots to do challenge - week 24 - Craft your name

This weeks challenge on lots to do has been set by Steph she asked us to craft our name.

I altered a beermat for this challenge.
I covered my mat in backing paper and the took my image from my signature I use on the forum at christmas. I put this in the middle of the beermat and decoupaged it . I then added the meaning and origin of my name. I finally added eyelets and a piece of ribbon.

Lots to do Challenge - week 22 - Recycle it!!!!

This week its Andrea's turn to choose a theme. She chose Recycle it!!!

I had bought a cheap clock from the supermarket cos I needed the mechanism for another project. I kept the clock case, well you never know when you might need it!!!!

I used alcohol inks on the frame in greens and blues. I then covered the "face" with different backing papers and finally added stamped images, bottle tops, dominoes etc and then added the clear lid.

Why not have a go this week. Lots to do challenge - there is a direct link on the right hand side.

4x4 + 1x1

Over on Lots to do, Sam is hosting a swap.

The criteria is, must be a 4x4 and that page must incorporate an inchie.

I used my cuttlebug embossing folders for my pages and then added stamped images.

The backgrounds were all chalked.

Thrinchies swap - Children

Over on Lots to do - Sue (Monalisa) is hosting a thrinchie swap with the theme of children.

I decided to make a series of thrinchies for this. I used distress inks for the coloured backgrounds and stamped a paperartsy stamp then masked the stamp and stamped over with a crackle stamp from Crafty Individuals. I finished off the thrinchies by adding 3 eyelets with my crop-o-dile.

Week 20 - A pair of glasses

OMG what a theme!!!!

I certainly had to get my thinking cap on for this one.

We have a guest designer this week. Its our very good friend Sam

I decided to make a skinny and put some foil through one of my cuttlebug embossing folders and then rubbed alcohol ink all over.

I stuck this onto my skinny and then set eyelets around it.

I found some old optical lenses and added some vintage images.

I stamped some words and added them to the skinny

How does your garden grow - ATC swap

It seems ages since I made some ATCs for a swap.
Shaz on Lots to do is hosting an ATC swap and the theme is how does your garden grow.
My first ATC is made using my cuttlebug folder and embossed onto thin metal, this is attatched to the ATC with small flower brads.
The middle ATC is stamped tree image and I added all the leaves by adding small dots of different colours all over the branches. I coloured in the grass area and again added dots of different colours to make a carpet of flowers.
The third ATC is made by simply stamping all over with my tapestry stamps and adding a moo of a stamped image of some flowers.

Secret Swap - Lots to do

Over on Lots to do we have had a secret swap. We had to make a gift for someone and not sign it or have any clues to who had sent it.

The person I had to make something for was Dawne. I decided to alter a cd. I covered it in paper and added swirls all around the edge. Dawne loves to take photographs so I sneakily copied one of her photos and stuck it to the bottom of the cd. I added the letters for her name. I used my crop-o-dile and added eyelets and ribbon and finished off with 2 small flowers which had gems stuck to the middle.
