Pick of the crop!

The next theme from Craft Room Challenge is "Summer Birthdays".
I've made an ATC which can be used as a topper for a card. I have stamped strawberries (stamp from craft stamper mag) on and coloured them with promarkers. Background is distress inks and sequin waste.

Less is More - Sketch

I am late with my entry for the Less is More challenge this week. I've been poorly - struck down with a horrible virus but I'm much better now!

I turned the sketch round and used my rollagraph tiny leaves roller with crushed olive distress ink and then added a freebie stamp from craft stamper and finished off with some prima flowers.

There are some fantastic entries already and I just hope I get round to visit all of them - if not I do apologise.

Just for Fun - Steampunk and my 500th Post!

Well this is quite a milestone for me - my 500th post!!!!!!

This weeks challenge over at Just for Fun is "Steampunk". I haven't done much in this style but have a few stamps that are steampunk-ish!

I have made and ATC and stamped a man (can't remember where from) and added some words from Crafty Individuals. I then masked over them and added the paperartsy mini cog stamp. I coloured with distress inks.

Hope its "Steampunk" enough.

Less is More - Monograms - Take 2

I had a funny feeling that my first card I entered wouldn't fit the bill!

Here's my second attempt for the Less is More challenge of Monograms.
I printed out a letter from the PC, and then stamped an elusive images butterfly to the card and coloured it with pro markers. I added just a couple of gems as decorations on the butterfly's wing.

Less is More - Monograms

This week at Less is More is Monogram week!
I've been scratching my head for a couple of hours to try to think of something to make.

I'm not too sure if this will fit the theme.
I've used a butterfly kisses stamp for the words and coloured with pro markers. The centre of the card is an ATC I was playing about with yesterday - stamps from stampendous. Coloured with pro markers.

Craft Room Challenge - Playing with Dolls

Its time for a new challenge at Craft Room Challenge - this time we are asked to play with dolls - in fact to alter a doll!

This is how my doll started life........

Its a stamp I've had for ages and can't remember where from

And this is how it finished up!!

The dress is TSS metal coloured with sharpies and distressed a little with blending solution. It has also been through the CB with an embossing folder then lightly sanded.
Her head has been changed to a little girls I had lying in my bits and pieces box.
She now has a flower necklace.
Her stockings have changed design.
She is now wearing very odd shoes.
Have you seen her very sparkly gloves.

Thanks for the challenge - I really enjoyed making this!

I have coloured the background with pro markers and added an Austin Powers image to the corner.

Less is More - One Layer and a Frame

This weeks challenge at Less is More is to make a one layer card and to have a frame on it.

I have used a corner stamp to create my frame and stamped a freebie craft stamper butterfly to the centre of the frame. I coloured the butterfly with pro markers and added the happy birthday to the bottom.

Rubys Rainbow - Cream and Embossing

This weeks theme at Rubys Rainbow is "Cream and Embossing".
I have used cream linen card and embossed with my CB. I coloured it with distress inks. I will add the sentiment later as I could use this for a number of occasions

Just For Fun - I Spy with my little eye

A new month means a new host for the Just For Fun challenge blog.

This month its Vons turn.
Von is asking us to interpret the saying "I Spy With My Little Eye"

I have made an ATC for this challenge. I coloured it with catseye chalk and stuck the image to the centre. I then got one of my stamps of a face and carefully inked just one of the eyes and stamped it all over the ATC.

Hope it fits the bill!

Golden Wedding Card

I have been busy making a Golden Wedding Card for my in-laws' anniversary.

I made the flowers using cream paper and stamped over the edges with gold ink. I punched out some leaves and sprayed them with green cosmic shimmer. I used my CB and die cut the letters in cream paper and rubbed gold ink on them. I'm quite pleased with the way its turned out, just have to make a sturdy box for it now!

I am entering the card into the following challenges:

Moving Along With The Times - no designer papers
Craft Room Challenge - anything goes

This is a closer look at some of the flowers.
