Bling and Dazzle ATCs

Sam is hosting a Bling and Dazzle ATC swap on UK stampers.
My ATCs are all made with glimmer mists as the background colour and then different stamps added to them. On the first one I have simply edged the ATC with glamour dust. The centre one has gems to the left and in the centre of the flower and the right hand one has gems along the middle of the image.

Twinchie Bird challenge

There is a challenge site called Something Completely Different and this month they are challenging you to make twinchies with different themes each week. This week the theme is twinchie and a bird.
I have done a wood burning of my free Hels Sheridan stamp from craft stamper and used distress inks to colour in the twinchie.

Altered Backing paper swap

BeforeOnce again on UK stampers there is a swap going on called altered backing papers. You have to take a piece of 12x12 patterned paper and alter it in any way you like. Once you have finished you have to cut it up into 9, 4 inch squares. I took some christmas paper and went mad with the crackle accents, pearl pens, glitter glue, gold, silver and white gel pens. Finally I added some gems randomly across the paper. The scan hasn't come out too well but it is very glittery!!!

Stampbord Fridge Magnet

On UK stampers there is a swap going on and the theme is to make a stampbord fridge magnet.
I have lots of 1inch square pieces so I put 6 together and coloured with assorted distress inks and then spritzed with water. I then used some glimmer mist in candy apple red and walnut gold. I then stamped on top of this with a postcard design. I added a couple more postmark stamps. I then spread crackle accents all over the piece. Once it had dried I added some clear epoxy domes over the larger postmarks.

Altered Peg Swap

These are the pegs I have altered for a swap on Lots to do. The one on the left was coloured with distress inks and then some chipboard flowers were added, these were coloured with acrylic paints and then glitter glue was added as a finishing touch. The one on the right has some simple wood burning on it. Both pegs have magnets on the back.

Gothic Arches - Garden Sprite

This weeks theme on Gothic Arches is "Garden Sprite", this is my version of a sprite, I printed out an image and traced around it on a piece of card. I cut that out to give me a window. I stamped all over the top piece with leaf shapes and stuck the image to the bottom card. I stuck the top card on with 3d foam and then added a butterfly and a shrink plastic dragonfly. This can also be entered into the Sunday stampers challenge this week with the theme of wings.

Lots to do challenge - Cracked It!!!!

The challenge this week is to "crack it!".
I have made an ATC and stamped a background of my crackle effect stamp from CI. I then stamped my main image which is an Art Journey stamp onto cream card and then added crackle accents to it. Once it had dried I tore round the image and then went over the card with tea dye distress ink to enhance the "cracks". I then added the stamped wording "Nature" at the bottom.

ATCs with my New Stamps

I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself today - I woke up with a cold and as the day has gone on I'm feeling worse :(
So I went into my craftroom for a play and have made a couple of ATCs with my new stamps from Art Journey. I can't help but smile when I look at the little boy on the left!!!!

Lots to do - Working with wood

The challenge this week over on Lots to do is to use wood in your project.
I have had my wood burning tool out again and made this domino sized piece. I stamped the wood and then burned the ink away. I then gave the piece a little bit of colour by wiping some distress inks over the top. I edged the piece with some window leading that I had run through my cuttlebug with one of the embossing folders.

Sunday Stampers - Happy Birthday

I used mustard seed and spiced marmalade distress inks to colour the card and then used different stamps to make the background. I cut a butterfly with my cuttlebug and then coloured that with spiced marmalade ink. I added some gems and then a Happy Birthday stamp on some card and popped that in the top corner.

Lots to do challenge - Faces

This weeks challenge for Lots to do is "Faces".
I have made an ATC. I found an image of a line drawn face by Henri Mattisse and drew it onto some metal which I had coloured with lots of different inks in blues, oranges and greens. I used one of my tools to emboss the image. I then sanded the embossing to bring out the silver colour. I then edged the metal with an edging tool. For the card I lightly stamped a diamond background from CI and then added some colour with sequin waste. I finished it off with the word "Beauty" again a stamp from CI and a paper flower attatched with a brad.
