Now for my DT piece - I immediately thought of an advent calendar so then I just happened to be having a look around the supermarket seasonal aisle when I spied this.....

So I altered it just a little using my CB embossing folders, lots of glitter and gold paint and it ended up like this.....

Ruby's Rainbow - Bingo!

I chose the diagonal line from top left using lace, flowers and buttons. I have decorated a small jute gift bag and knitted some roses and added a heart shape edged with lace and buttons stitched on.

This certainly was a challenge until I came up with a brainwave - I used one of my cuttlebug embossing folders and made a thankyou card! Hello everyone - here are my DT pieces for Rubys Rainbow and Sparkles Monthly Challenges

I am extremely late posting these -its been really hectic here - I have been really busy at work and then just had to sort out my suitcase as I am off on my hols in the morning with my lovely hubby to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary.

For my RRC challenge I made an Easter Basket and filled it with lots of lovely cream eggs.

My SMC challenge is a beermat with my depiction of Spring - I always think of daffodils and lots of green!

Rubys Rainbow - Lace

I'm late posting my piece for Ruby's Rainbow this time around

The challenge this time is "Lace"

I have used a beermat for my DT piece - I covered it with some DP and then added the image and stamped the words onto safmat. I finished off with lace to frame the piece.

Ruby's Rainbow #23 White and one other colour

This fortnight we are asking you to use White and one other colour.

I chose silver for my other colour - I used my cuttlebug with various embossing folders and silver peel offs, silver marker pen for the edges and silver card punched hearts.

I have used my wood burny tool again - thats the technical term again!!!!

I used balsa wood and stamped my T!m Holtz car and sentiments onto it and then burned them. I aged the wall hanging slightly with some distressed ink in brushed corduroy.

Sparkles Monthly Challenge - February - Something With Wings

Here's my piece for this months challenge - I have created a little bird house the inspiration for which came from Craft Stamper magazine.

I used mountboard for the bird house and ran papers through the cuttlebug using different embossing folders. I added the little bird and then flowers and finished off with the little saying.

Rubys Rainbow - Challenge 21

Its challenge 21 over at Ruby's Rainbow - this time we are asking for you to show us your flowers with some sparkle too!


I found a photoframe in a pound shop - it started out as a black and silver frame!
I made the background to look like a patchwork and used the same papers to make some roses. Lots of sparkle and hat pins finished them off.




I found a lovely poem and added that to the centre.

Its going to be a pressie for my mum and dads golden wedding - its next year so I need to put this away carefully till then.

Challenge 20 over at Ruby's Rainbow is "Valentine's or Red and Black"

I have gone for the Red and Black option and made a card using a corset bodice and made a skirt with skeleton leaves.

I am really late in posting this piece - yet again!

This fortnights challenge at Ruby's Rainbow is something for a baby or a child. I have made a pair of shoes! I cut the template out and then ran it through my CB with a dotty embossing folder. I finished the shoes off with pink pearl brads.
