Metal Rose

I have been having another play making roses and his time I have used some of my TSS metal.

I used the fab tutorial on Hels blog and used my flower stamp freebie from Craft Stamper mag. I coloured my metal with light blue sharpies and the leaves with a dark green sharpie - I then made the veins in the leaves with the refiner tool.

The theme for Sunday Stampers is "Blue" so this is my entry.

Lots to do Mega Challenge Swap

Open
Closed

For the mega challenge on Lots to do I had to use something wooden, a stamped image, 2 words and the colours green and orange.

Well I cheated just a little and used three stamped images and a few more words :)

I used two pieces of balsa wood and got out my wood burning tool. Once I had finished burning I coloured the pieces lightly with peeled paint and spiced marmalade distress ink.I glued a piece of ribbon to make a hinge and then I added orange ribbon as a tie.

The recipient for this make is Ellen - hope she likes it!

I coloured the moo with the mustard seed and then around the edges with spiced marmalade and then added the stamping with black staz-on. I stuck the moo to the ATC and then added the stamped arrow. I stamped the enjoy the journey wording onto separate card and coloured it with spiced marmalade. I then cut out the words and stuck them on the ATC. I finally went around the edge with black soot distress ink.

Altered Backing paper swap

BeforeOnce again on UK stampers there is a swap going on called altered backing papers. You have to take a piece of 12x12 patterned paper and alter it in any way you like. Once you have finished you have to cut it up into 9, 4 inch squares. I took some christmas paper and went mad with the crackle accents, pearl pens, glitter glue, gold, silver and white gel pens. Finally I added some gems randomly across the paper. The scan hasn't come out too well but it is very glittery!!!
